Archi 2.1 released
February 06, 2012
Another new year and another new Archi release. This time we've focussed on adding a supplementary new feature that we call the "Canvas Modelling Toolkit". The Canvas Modelling Toolkit is an extension to Archi somewhat akin to the Sketch View that provides the tools for you to create and edit a "Canvas" such as the Business Model Canvas. With the Canvas Modelling Toolkit you can design and create re-usable Canvas Templates to share with colleagues or simply or you can use it as a pre-design tool to sketch out ideas and models. You can also link to other Views in your model so you could, for example, link from an ArchiMate View to a Business Model Canvas View to provide a Business Plan.
We've also added some smaller fixes and useful features such as more informative tooltips for relationships and improved connections.

Archi 2.0 released
September 30, 2011
Exciting new features have been added to Archi with this latest version, including Dynamic Viewpoints and Jasper Reports. We've also done a lot of work "under the hood" to pave the way for some innovative features planned for future versions of Archi.
Dynamic Viewpoints let you change the ArchiMate Viewpoint at any time and any elements that are not permitted for that Viewpoint are "ghosted" out or hidden. Dynamic Viewpoints allow you to change your mind. You don't have to decide up-front what the Viewpoint will be. You can experiment with different Viewpoints for the same View. And if you decide to keep the Viewpoint, you can simply remove any disallowed elements from the View. You could even set up one master View and apply different Viewpoints in a "what if" scenario.
You can watch a screencast demonstrating Dynamic Viewpoints.
We've also included support for exporting your models using Jasper Reports. Jasper Reports is the world's most popular Java reporting engine. Combine data sources and produce pixel-perfect documents that can be viewed, printed, or exported into a variety of document formats with this powerful reporting tool. Archi can export models in various formats using Jasper Reports Templates including PDF, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, HTML, RTF and Open Office.
